Square 12: Rainy Days

Rainy days aren't always a blessing: like when there have been a few too many of them in a row, or when you have a long list of errands to run.  But on that perfect day when you don't have to do much of anything, and you can slow down, drink hot tea and finally concentrate on that book you've been dying to read, there's nothing quite like a rainy day.

  1. I love this block. And I agree there is nothing better than a good rainy day or night. Did you use a varigated floss for the storm clouds or two different colors? The effect is great!!!

  2. Hi Denise! Thanks for your sweet comment! I used a variegated gray floss for the clouds -- so getting that neat effect was really easy! This is the first project where I've used that kind of floss, and now I'm using it all the time. :)

I am really liking your french knots. They add
a lot to the little square.

  7. All I can think of since I saw this square is "Rainy Days and mondays Always Get Me Down." N

No negativity . . I find that a song that totally mellows me out when I hear it.

Personally . . I love nothing better than to sit on a porch swing in a good spring/summer rain.

Now, being a retired teacher . . I don't have a ton of fond Monday memories.

    LOLOL

LOVE your stitch work . . you are very creative.
